Having problems occasionally writing things down and getting your word done? Thanks to a quote from Ernest Hemingway, stopping mid-sentence can leave your word flow primed for the next session.
I am not talking about writing one-half of a sentence and walking away either, what I gleaned from the Heminway passage on writing was that stopping your writing while you are on a roll of ideas primes your mind for developing further ideas beetween this writing session and the next, whether it's after lunch, or a coffee break, or even another day. That doesn't mean, of course, writing half a sentence and stepping away, you sly, sarcastic types. What I gleaned from Hemingways passage was that stopping in mid-paragraph when you're on a roll keeps your mind primed for creating something new and exciting between then and the next time that you sit down to write again, Whether it's after lunch, dinner, or even another day.
Here are some tips for being a powerful author
Be your work - The key ingredient in fighting writer’s block is inspiration, and inspriation is a way of life.
The World Is A Never Ending Source of New Material - Every day that you step out of your home and go about your way, you are surrounded by inspiration. A lot can occur on the walk or drive to work. I once saw a cat enter a subway station, get on the five o'clock Eastbound, and get off five stops later. I blogged this and got hundreds of comments. I was on my way to work when this occured and if I had not been paying attention, I would not have noticed it.
Don't worry - Inspiration cannot happen in a worried mind. It is also important to never worry about your writing. By being in the mindset of worrying you will block your inspiration. Water cannot pass through a hand and the same truth applys to inspiration.
