Don't dither over big decisions - relying on your instincts tends to yield better outcomes, according to the journal of Consumer Research, in several studies, participants who deliberated the longest when accessing items such as art or real estate gave less accurate appraisals and were more apt to change their minds later, compared with those who went with their gut feelings. Too much complication can redirect attention from the most relevant information, sat researchers.
